Kieran has spent over a decade working with utilities, councils and government agencies on their GIS ecosystems. The same pattern kept appearing: tangled environments, lost knowledge, content sprawl, and teams stuck fighting fires instead of building solutions.

The pain was most visible in ArcGIS, where dashboards would break, and nobody could tell you why. But the cause was almost always elsewhere: a forgotten FME workspace, a changed dataset, a hosted layer no longer being updated. Tracing it took forever.

It was a frustration shared across every team he worked with.
So rather than solve it one client at a time, he built something the whole industry could use. That's how Ripple was born.
